The transformation of a multi-purpose stadium into a giant mud pit for a Monster Trucks event may seem like an impossible task. With TERRAPLAS® turf protection products the field can be protected from the tons of soil, dirt and heavy machinery. Whether an indoor domed arena or outdoor stadium - with or without roof - TERRAPLAS® can help maximise the potential for revenue generation.
TERRAPLAS turf protection is fitted in the usual way to protect the playing surface. A layer of polythene is laid on top of the temporary flooring to prevent soil, dirt and other substances passing through to the tiles and surface beneath.
For additional protection from the blades and buckets of the heavy machinery used to spread the dirt, a layer of plywood is laid on top of the polythene to prevent any damage to the TERRAPLAS® system.
Next, it’s time to get dirty! A convoy of trucks deliver tonnes of dirt which is spread out in a thick layer over the entire area.
It’s not long before the stadium begins to take shape and the Monster Trucks can start to move in ready for a spectacular show!
